Bhu Mandala: Greater Earth of the Srimad Bhagavatam

Description of Bhu - Mandala (The greater Earth) in our Universe: Bhu - Mandala is the central planetary system (7th from top) out of 14 planetary system in our 500 million Yojana diameter Universe. Earth (the planet on which we live) is a part of this Bhu - Mandala. In this day of Brahma, the Bhu - Mandala was created 2.12 billion years ago. Maharaj Priyavrat (son of Svayambhuv Manu (the First Manu)), when he attempted to give sunlight to the southern hemisphere of earth during the Uttarayan period of Sun, he divided the Bhu - Mandal into seven islands through his big Chariot, which was following Sun’s Chariot. These seven islands were divided by each other through different seas. He again divided these seven islands into different parts by big mountains, these parts are known as Varsha’s. On Bhu – Mandala, there are 7 Big islands and 7 big oceans consisting of 46 Varsha’s, 44 medium range mountains (including the Bigger Himalaya - each of height 10,000 Yojanas), One big mountain (Sumeru) of height 100,000 Yojanas and One super big mountain (Loka Lok Mountain) of height 4 million Yojanas lies (equals to the height of Pole Star), creating external boundary (having Sunlight) of Bhu – Mandala. The impressions from the rims of Maharaj Priyavrata’s chariot wheels created seven oceans and seven islands. Of the ten sons of Priyavrata (Āgnīdhra, Idhmajihva, Yajñabāhu, Mahāvīra, Hiraṇyaretā, Ghṛtapṛṣṭha, Savana, Medhātithi, Vītihotra and Kavi), three sons named Kavi, Mahāvīra and Savana accepted sannyāsa, the fourth order of life, and the remaining seven sons became the rulers of these seven islands. The Bhu - Mandala comprises of 7 concentric islands, called Jambudvipa, Palakshadvipa, Shalmlidvipa, Kushadvipa, Kraunchadvipa, Sakadvipa and Pushkardvipa. Each island is divided by the subsequent island from Ocean. Each of the next island has double size than the previous one. Seven oceans, dividing each islands, starting from Jambudvipa (on which earth lies) to the last island (Pushkar Dvipa) are: Salt water Ocean, Sugarcane Juice Ocean, Liquor Ocean, Clarified butter ocean, Milk Ocean, Yoghurt Ocean and Plain water ocean. On each of these 7 islands consisting of 46 Varshas, 45 mountains has human beings. Outside the Plain water ocean, the land is prohibited and after that, their is a land of Gold, known as Kanchan Bhumi. It is a land of gold with mirror like surface. Any object dropped there cannot be seen again. Therefore all living entities have abandoned this place. After this Kanchan Bhumi, their is a big mountain of height 4 million Yojanas, called Loka Lok Mountain. It divides the countries that are full of sunlight from those not lit by the sun. On its top, 4 Gaja - Patis (Big Elephants) in 4 directions were established by Lord Brahma to supporting all planets of the universe. Beyond this Loka Lok Mountain, is the Aloka Varsha, full of darkness, till the edge of Universe. At the edge of Universe is Ghanodak (made of Ice).
