The Introduction
His Grace Gauranga Sundar Dasa, born in 1979 in India, is the President of Krishna Consciousness Society (KCS) and a highly revered spiritual leader with 27 years of experience in practicing Krishna consciousness. Through his dynamic preaching, he has mentored over 25,000 students globally, attracting people from all walks of life: scientists, scholars, doctors, engineers—by presenting the teachings of Caitanya Mahaprabhu and Srila Prabhupada in a way that resonates deeply with modern minds. A pioneer in bringing Krishna consciousness to the digital age, His Grace Gauranga Sundar Dasa has effectively used online platforms to spread spiritual wisdom to millions and connect with a global audience.
He currently leads the largest distribution program of Srila Prabhupada’s original books in India, ensuring the immortal teachings of Krishna and Srila Prabhupada reach countless individuals. Under his guidance, cow safety-based initiative of Project GAIYA has successfully fed and provided care to around 3,000 cows across India. His initiative of feeding needy and poor people under the project Annamrita has been doing wonders with feeding thousand people with Krishna prasadam every day.
Bhaktivedanta Institute of Vedic Sciences (and Medical Science), scientific wing of KCS had produced multiple scientific articles mentored by him personally, showcasing Krishna consciousness as a scientific movement. He also stands as the Editor of three top-class Krishna conscious magazines: The Goloka Times, The Golok Times Comic (for children), The Goloka Gopika Times (women-oriented), all of which produces top-class articles and spiritual information, keeping in line with Srila Prabhupada’s teachings.
His initiative of Gopal Kids has also mentored thousands of children under the age of fifteen to provide them spiritual teachings and lead them to Krishna consciousness from a young age in an online Gurukul. The Athato Brahma Jijnasa web-seminars, organized by his students, are a key initiative by him, offering spiritual guidance to attract all kinds of people to this movement. His project of Krishna Cares has helped thousands of mentally distressed individuals in seeking happiness and meaning in life through Krishna consciousness. He has also established a program for the specially-abled and orphans to provide them care and shelter in the project known as Krishna Ashraya. His preaching efforts has influenced people from all over the world with many coming from European, American and other western countries in association with him. As Srila Prabhupada once stated, 50% of his mission remains to be accomplished, which His Grace Gauranga Sundar Dasa aims to fulfill in the form of establishing a Daivi Varnashram for people to lead and live a spiritual life.
